April 2012

Here's the April 2012 rundown. . .

We ate lots of pizza
 we were attacked by dinosaurs
 Daddy went to China
Roo tamed exotic animals
 and made gourmet meals.
She also did a little mountain climbing (I have no idea why this pic is sideways)
Phia continued making this face a lot.

 we got glamorous.

 Roo did lots of flying
 and painting
and shaving cream sculptures.
Phia discovered her love of fine footwear

Seriously, does it get any cuter?! My heart melts.

Phia did LOTS of climbing practice.
She also took many very important phone calls. It's one of my favorite things. She puts the phone to her little ear and says, "lo? lo?"
We also did a bit of rearranging. Phia was so helpful.
As you can see April was a very busy month for us all!

A little bit about little ol' Roo

age: 7
height: 45in (10th percentile)
weight: 45lbs (10th percentile)
You are my tiny girl, but don't like when I call you that. You insist that you are big. You are, and it makes me sad.
Not much has changed as far as your interests go. You still love singing, especially your own original songs. But we also love singing radio songs together super duper loud in the car! Your favorite songs are: Leona Lewis "Keep Bleeding", "If You Ever" by Bruno Mars, and pretty much anything from Adele. You love to dance, sometimes though, you get a little hoochie-ish. It scares me. We are working on this. You love art. Oil pastels and water colors are your favorite mediums at the moment.
You are a silly little thing and have taken to making up your own jokes lately. I will spare you the horror of making you read any of them here in such a public forum, but you did have one really good one the other day!
What do you call cheese that belongs to a monster?
MONSTERella cheese!
Daddy and I have laughed about this one a lot! You were so proud of yourself! You adore making us laugh.
You cherish your little sister and insist on kissing AND hugging her before nap and bedtime. It melts my heart. She isn't always thrilled with the hugging, and you get your feelings hurt every time. You are really super duper emotional (no idea where you got that from ;), but I love that you feel things so deeply. Being passionate is a beautiful quality.
Your Lalaloopsy doll collection is reaching epic proportions. Coral Seashells, Pixie Flutters, and Suzette La Sweet are your favorites. Your favorite color is of course pink, and you have rubbed off on me because it is my favorite color too!
When you grow up you want to be a fashionista and an artist. Fashionista. That makes me laugh. According to you, a fashionista is a person who makes fashion clothes. Please be an artist.

GOOD MORNING MY BIG 7 YEAR OLD!

Bella's Birthday

Bella's birthday this year was just like it has been all the past birthdays-GREAT! We had it Joe's Crab Shack again which is always awesome because there is a patio that overlooks a playground! No clean up for me AND built in kid entertainment. . .HOORAY!

Even Phia got in on the playground action!

 Love these two girls-bestest friends!

the party people doing a little patio dancing.

Phia discovered an intense love of crab legs. And broccoli. and corn. . .
and cake.
singing Happy Birthday to the birthday girl
 MAKE A WISH!

Family, friends, crab legs, and cake. Does a birthday get any better than that? I don't think so!

Slumber Parties

Bella had a slumber party. A Barbie Fashionista slumber party. There was a lot of "fashionista-ing" involved. First there were the makeovers which involved lots of pink, purple, and teal. 1986 called girls, it wants it's make up back.
Then there was the fashion show and interview portion of the evening. "what's your name?" "how old are you?" "what's your favorite color?" Those were the questions I was instructed to ask. I kinda wanted to jab forks into my temples. But alas, I did my mommy duty and applied gobs of insane make up to precious little eyelids and lips and asked the instructed questions over and over and over and over. . .
My favorite part of little girl sleep overs are the giggles, and there were plenty of those! Especially when they finally all got tucked in and we told made up ghost stories for at least an hour. 4,5,and 7 year olds make up the best "scary" stories.
Favorite Quote of the night: "The funs not over yet! We still have to sleep in the bed!" Thanks for that laugh Gracie. You are adorable.
The Fashionistas. . .

Making pizzas for dinner
Dinner al fresco. The made me be their "server".

all tucked in for the night
 sweet dreams. . .
 GOOD MORNING!
no better way to start your day than with birthday presents!

No we were not abducted by aliens. . .

We have been insanely busy the past month or so. . .finishing up the school year always gets a little crazy. Then, as soon as I get the year finished up, I immediately begin obsessing about curriculum for the next year and spend bazillions of hours researching. It's a sickness. I need help. Thankfully, I think I have everything nailed down and can now return to using the computer for more fun things-like blogging! So buckle up and hold on. I'm about to take you on a picture-palooza extravaganza covering everything we have been doing the past month. . .hope you like pictures, because for real, it's about to get crazy!
