Guest post by Prince Daddy.
Little Roo was in the Easter spirit and of course we wanted to make sure that she didn't just think that Easter was all about bunnies and candy, well at least not mostly, so we made sure that she knew the TRUE reason we celebrated Easter. So she had been doing many crafts about Jesus and his sacrifice for us. By the way Jesus, Thank you for the sacrifice. ;) Bella came to me while I was getting ready for work and was asking me about some pictures that she had glued to a cross, they were images about the Sermon on the Mount, Palm Sunday, the crucifixion (child friendly version of course), the resurrection, and the reason for this post... the Baptism!!! She said "Daddy, what is Baptism?" OK, great I love to share with my kids when they show interest in important things because they are much more likely to remember them! Well baby, Baptism, when you're young, is when your parents give you to Jesus, so he can take care of you and watch over you so one day you can be with Him in Heaven. We take you to church and they either put you in water or they just sprinkle some on your head and say "We baptize you in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirt" and then you belong to Jesus. So then I told her that we were going to let our new church baptize her, Wacky, and Little little. At this point she said in a panicked voice "WHEN?!?!" I said probably pretty soon and I went about my getting ready. When I looked back over at Bella, she was standing there sullen and eyes filled with tears. I said baby what's wrong? She said "your going to let them kill me and send me to Heaven and I don't want to go now!!!!" At this point I tucked the urge to fall in the floor laughing uncontrollabley away in the back of my brain and I took on the role of comforting father. I assured her that the church was not going to kill her. They haven't done that for hundreds of years!
