sick.

May 29, Phia started running a really high fever (103). The next morning, her fever had gone down to a less worrisome degree, but she had a few faint spots on her face and legs. At first I thought it might be mosquito bites because she had been outside the night before with Aunt Mary. It wasn't long before I knew I was wrong! I had forgotten about the chicken pox vaccine she received the week before. When I called, the nurse said Phia would probably just break out in a mild case and should be better in a couple of days. She was wrong.

It was bad. Really bad. The good news was that it didn't seem to itch and it only lasted 4 days.
The bad news is that it appears that Roo may have it now. She came into our room at 4:30 this morning running a fever and generally just not feeling well. . .then the vomiting began. The first time we did great getting out of the bed and into the bathroom. The second time we weren't so lucky. We didn't even make it out of the bed. The spots are starting to pop up now, which I guess is good because at least we are going to get it over with. No exciting pics to post of her yet, but we shall see what happens. . .
